ENCE and their no good, very bad, unforced errors - How one round changed an entire half.

Yesterday at GamingWithoutBorders 2021 ENCE played FURIA in the semi-finals, where on Ancient they lost 16-9 largely on the back of several unforced errors and blunders on the T-side that FURIA took great advantage of. This was odd too, as this was ENCE’s map pick and thus clearly one they felt confident on enough to take the Brazilians down on. That’s not to say FURIA didn’t play well, far from it. aRT , KSCERATO and yuurih all showcased their prowess, with even honda finally popping off with a 1.01 rating, his first “over 1.00” rating since becoming a regular on the team. Whether it be from poor communication or over confidence, ENCE failed to play to their strengths and allowed too many blunders to lose them this crucial map. dycha struggled most on Ancient, finishing with a 0.64 rating The bulk of ENCE’s issues came on round 9. On the T-side, they had broken FURIA’s economy and forced them to make an incredibly weird buy, Nova and body armour for aRT and virtually no...

Why b1t was the Right Choice

Unfortunately for some CSGO teams, there will come a time when they need make a decision between two players over who gets a final roster position. For the players, it could mean the start or end of a career, and the amount of pressure to preform if selected is immeasurable. For teams however, it’s a massive gamble as to who will elevate the rest of the squad to reach new heights. Given Value’s recent RMR rule changes that effectively eliminated substitute players, many teams are stuck with this very issue and have had to make tough decisions for their teams success. Over the course of CSGO esports history there are only a few huge success stories of teams making the right choice. Magisk with Astralis leading to their era of terror, Stewi2K with Liquid leading to the fastest Intel Grand Slam, and in my opinion b1t and Na’Vi reestablishing themselves as juggernauts of the CIS. The Ukrainian super squad is built in a unique way. When you have the best player in the world, s1mple, p...

Top 5 Players - Mid Year Review With the year half up, I thought I would lend my thoughts as to who my top 5 players are currently this year. At the time of writing, IEM Summer 2021 is ongoing with OG and Gambit playing in the grand finals today and BLAST Spring Finals is approaching soon, so hopefully this list will help you while viewing those tournments! 1. s1mple s1mple is still clearly the best player in CSGO. Unlike his fellow top 3’s from 2020 (dev1ce and ZyWoO), he hasn’t had a major performance drop off since CSGO went online and still is a massive asset for Na’Vi. His roster remains at the top of the HLTV team rankings and are a big contender for any tournaments they enter. s1mple’s playing style is clear. Amazing technical skills that allow for him to make flashy plays, while equally having a great game sense. While he doesn’t have the big brain’s of other AWPer’s like ZyWoO or Jame, there’s almost no need for it. His skill alone makes up for any positioning errors he might ...
